Thw writer was recently asked to prepare a series of articles for The Improvement Era under the title of "Leadership Development." This assignment proved such an interesting one that it was not very long before a fairly large number of extra articles had been prepared. It was then suggested that a useful purpose might be served by putting them together in book form. The following articles have been prepared as some individual leadership need has suggested itself. With two exceptions, these have been arranged in alphabetical order. The subdivisions of leadership might be thought of as a jeweler would think of the parts of a watch, where there is no specific order of importance making a rank of first, second, and third possible. Yet like the parts of a watch, each part of leadership is important and each is dependent upon the other.
