For many years the General Authorities of te Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have felt a definite need for a Pearl Of Great Price Commentary. This scripture is not only one of the standard works of the Church, but it is also one of the great books of the world. Heretofore comparatively little has been written about it and no definite effort has been made to explain each of the doctrines contained in it. For these reasons the First Council of the Seventy assigned the task to the author to prepare such a volume. This volume represents the result of said efforts.
