About Product: "Christ's miracles are very exciting, and his parables are alive with comparisons and interpretive possibilities. But the discourses are like a one-on-one conversation with Jesus the Messiah." Thus the author concludes chapter one of this volume on the life of the Savior.

In The Sermons of Jesus the Messiah, the teachings, instructions and sermons of the Savior come alive as the author illumines such things as relationships, historical settings, metaphors, and symbolism. With insightful examples, he demonstrates how the Savior (through his sermons) verbally announced his claim to the Messiahship, taught the new law and the gospel, proclaimed himself to be the Son of God, used the ceremonies of the Jewish feasts to declare himself "the bread of life" and "the light of the world," and explained the inner change that each individual must make to qualify as a true believer. As the book demonstrates, some of the Master's teachings such as the Sermon on the Mount, were delivered to multitudes. Others came in response to questions from religious leaders, his Apostles and other followers. Still others occurred as teaching situations arose: the instruction given to the woman at the well and the explanation of the significance of the widow's mite.

As with the author's other books, this one is rich in example and detail. It shows clearly how the Savior wove sermons into the fabric of everyday life and by so doing, revealed the good news of the gospel and testified of his divinity. The Sermons of Jesus the Messiah reveals that the Savior's message is as applicable today as it was nearly two thousand yeas ago.
