Author: Sidney B. Sperry Symposium
About Product:
The Sperry Symposium is sponsored annually by Brigham Young University and the Church Educational System. Named in honor of the late Dr. Sidney B. Sperry, who, in the course of his forty-year career, earned a reputation for outstanding teaching and scholarship, the symposium seeks to perpetuate his memory by fostering continuing research on gospel topics. This symposium was held in the fall of 1993 where more than twenty papers related to the Old Testament were presented.
The contributors followed the general theme of God's relationship to his covenant people. This compilation features selected talks from that gathering. Essays include topics such as:
- The Exodus: History and Type
- Seals and Sealing in Israel
- The Lord Will Redeem His People: Adoptive Covenant and Redemption in the Old Testament
- The Creation, Fall and Atonement: The Great Plan for Edifying Family Relationships
