About Product

While traveling in England a few years ago, Elder Marvin J. Ashton of the Council of the Twelve was asked by the conductor, "What is your destination?" He responded that he had an appointment in Leicester, to which the conductor said, "We shall be at your destination in ten minutes."

This brief exchange caused Elder Ashton to reflect on what, in our journey through life, is our true destination, and what are merely stops or pauses along the path to our true destination. "As we pursue our journeys," he writes, "let us ever bear in mind that in life as in train travel, there are stations, departures, calls, and opportunities for being sidetracked and diverted. Our task is to follow that straight and narrow path which leads to our ultimate destination, eternal life and exaltation in our Father's kingdom."

In this book, Elder Ashton outlines some of the guideposts and guidelines that will help each of us find our way to that final destination. He draws on a rich lifetime of service to community, business, and church, to illustrate ways in which each of us can overcome character flaws and personal problems in this journey.
