"God has a view of women, who they are, what they do incomparably, what eternally they will be. Women must sieze that vision and embrace it, or they, and the rest of the human family with them, will parish." --Patricia T. Holland.
Affirming that profound view of women, Mary Ellen Smoot, general president of the women's organization of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, introduced the Relief Society Declaration to the women of the Church and the world. Its purpose, she said, was "to respond to the inquires from outside the Church and to remind ourselves of the grand blessings of womanhood."
This unique collection of inspirational writings from Church leaders supports the role of women defined by the Declaration. Each Section addresses a key principle from the Declaration to offer faith-building insights.
