About Product:
The scriptures show us how to live. They contain the word of God. Yet it takes work to search the scriptures. It takes work to teach our children to search the scriptures. Nothing worthwhile in life is easy, and searching the scriptures is no exception. But the Lord has promised that He will help us.
All we have to do to receive the Lord's help is to ask for it. He has said, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." (Matthew 7:7-8.)
The Lord has given us the charge to teach our children to search the scriptures; and he will prepare the way for us if we are willing to take the time, if we are willing to seek to understand the scriptures ourselves, if we are willing to ask for help, and if we are willing to see the exciting beauty of the word of God—the power of the word of God.
The home is where we should search the scriptures and teach our children to do so also. We are to use the scriptures in our daily lives. President Joseph F. Smith said, "The man, and the woman who are the agents, in the providence of God, to bring living souls into the world, are made before God and the heavens, as responsible for these acts as is God himself responsible for the works of his own hands. . . . " (Gospel Doctrine, Deseret Book, 18th printing, 1973, p. 273.)
As you and your family truly search the scriptures, you’ll become closer to the Lord and your lives will be made richer.
