About Product: Within the pages of A More Excellent Way are brief yet powerful essays on leadership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Members of the Church have deep concern about leadership because so many of them are called to he leaders. In terms of personality and eternity—important words in a Church member's vocabulary—leadership takes on even more importance, for leadership is the critical catalyst that aids the development of personality in order to give greater meaning to eternity.

The title of this volume comes from the words of Paul the Apostle as he wrote to the Corinthians. After discussing the importance of gifts and offices in the Church, he wrote: "yet shew I unto you a more excellent way." (1 Cor. 12:31.) He then boldly declares in 1 Corinthians 13 that love undergirds everything else.

The linkage between love and leadership must be strong, and so this book does not give too much attention to the mechanics of leadership, but rather shows the more excellent way of leadership through love.

This book will be a valuable reference work for leaders at all levels of Church organization, and will also find a ready response among the "followers" who make it possible for good leaders to succeed.
