Author: James L. Barker

About Product:

Originally published as a series of Melchezidek Priesthood manuals in between 1952 and 1954 they were combined into a single volume in 1960 and published by the authors wife, Kate Montgomery Barker. The image and ISBN above are of the Bookcraft edition (SLC, UT: Bookcraft, 1984). Although an older publication the author uses a variety of sources to estbalish the premise that there was an apostasy which occured within the early Christian Church resulting in a loss of divine approbation and authority. He also briefly addresses the claim that such a thesis sets the stage for; the restoration of the gospel through Jospeh Smith.
