About Product:

"Come, listen to a prophet's voice," a favorite hymn urges, and the call has been specifically directed to women in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on two important occasions. These, the Women's Conferences of the Church, have provided opportunities for women from all walks of life to hear the messages of the gospel meant especially for them.

My Beloved Sisters brings together the words of President Spencer W. Kimball, twelfth president of the Church, from both of these conferences. "I come to you, President Kimball says, "with a message of peace and hope and love, a message of advice and counsel, a message of faith and encouragement and confidence."

The messages presented by this latter-day prophet are full of timely advice on keeping the commandments of God and improving oneself through personal programs of scripture study, prayer, service, and righteousness. He recognizes the choices women must face in the latter days, and extends a helping hand of encouragement to help the sisters through the trials posed by a complex world.

"You need, more and more, to feel the perfect love our Father in heaven has for you," President Kimball says, "and to sense the value he places upon you as an individual. Ponder upon these great truths, especially in those moments when, in the stillness of such anxiety as you may experience as an individual, you might otherwise wonder and be perplexed."

President Kimball offers particular comfort and understanding to women who do not enjoy the full blessings of mortality, whether those blessings involve marriage, the bearing of children, or other things important to exaltation. He makes it clear that all deprivations will be made up for in the eternities, explaining that "our Father in heaven is aware of your anguish, and... one day he will bless you beyond your capacity to express... It is not only worth waiting for—it is worth living for!"
