About Product:

The year 1987 marks the 150th anniversary of  The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the British Isles. In 1837, seven missionaries from America brought the news to Britain that the true Church of Jesus Christ had been restored to the earth.  This restoration included the priesthood, the ordinances, and the pure doctrines of Christ.  Two of the missionaries were apostles of the Lord.  Three years later, in 1840, eight apostles were sent, including Brigham Young John Taylor, and Wilford Woodruff, who later became presidents of the Church.

The success of the Apostolic mission was immeadiate.  Tens of thousands received the gospel and enthusiasticlly emigrated to Zion, the gathering place in America, where they made significant contributions to the Church.  At the same time, however, the constant emigration of converts to America delayed the building of a mature and established Church in Britan.
