About Product: Notwithstanding the title and theme of a well-known book, this one affirms that we can indeed go home again-to our heavenly home, that is.

We are all at different points along the road back. Some find it easier than others to avoid diversions and detours; for some, the going is unusually tough; speeds vary too. The common element is that all are challenged by the test of mortality. All are sinners and thus in need of repenting and improving their lives. This encouraging book demonstrates how this can be done and strongly motivates the reader to do it.

Practical and down-to-earth, it addresses the issues in an informal, easy style, calling up illuminating parallels between the temporal and the spiritual and making the points graphically with an abundance of interesting personal experiences. For example, a scary mountain climbing incident involving the author is compared to our climbing incident involving the author is compared to our climbing the mountain of repentance. Sin is hazardous waste in our lives and must fittingly disposed of. A much-dirtied goblet, now cleaned and polished to brilliance, is symbolic of the young man who, in serious trangression, through God's mercy is brought back to purity and peace. A wise and courageous basketball referee prevents a fight over a foul and becomes a hero or model for the author and, perhaps, for his readers. Critics of the Church's "pressure" on them are countered by the account of a lonely young woman in a strange  city who was gently nudged and nurtured into church attendance and activity that led to the joys of a mission and marriage.

Most important, the book reminds us that we can partake of the blessings and mercies of the Savior's atonement through the repentance and a changed heart. In that way we can all go home again.
